Green Valley (Thule Greenland) is influenced by the nesting of approximately 7 millions Little Auks. The Little Auks nest in between rocks of talus slopes. The entire valley where the Little Auks nest is fertilized as the birds fly back and forth from the ocean and their nests. This input of nutrients from the oceans allows lush grasses and sedges to grow and this in turn provides habitat for Musk Oxen.
