The Instrument Development Laboratory (IDL), a CHDD core
service, meets the instrumentation and media engineering needs of research
affiliates involved in behavioral and biomedical research.
The IDL specializes in physiologic and psycho-physiologic instrumentation, signal processing, computer-based measurements and controls, and audio/video systems development.
IDL services are available to support grants that are part of the Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Research Center (MRDDRC). The cost of equipment, parts and outside services (e.g. machine shop or printed circuit board fabrication) are charged to the investigator's grant. There is no charge for IDL labor. Funding for the IDL is provided by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. Simply fill out the top-half of this form and bring it by or fax (206-616-8580) it to the IDL.
