Senior Design Projects
Industrial Engineering's Senior Design Projects present a unique
and significant opportunity for our students as well as for companies in the Pacific
Northwest. Student teams are assigned to investigate selected company-proposed problems. The goals of the course are to educate students in professional
practice and disseminate new information to local industry.
Students apply their knowledge of industrial engineering by defining the problem, collecting data, and proposing solutions in a real-world
environment. Oral and written reports cover the investigation and conclusions reached.
The projects culminate in a reception preceded by a competition among student teams, at which time they are judged by a panel of industry
representatives and IE faculty. Senior Design Projects are organized under the course heading of IND E 495. For more information, please contact Professor
Richard
Storch.
