Infosys Technologies (www.infosys.com) maintains a series of blogs. These blogs talk about various issues related to IT, outsourcing, and innovation. One of their blogs, Managing Offshore IT (http://infosysblogs.com/managing-offshore-it) cited the Institute for Innovation in Information Management’s work on "outsourcing innovation". January 03, 2007: Desouza at Boeing
Dr. Kevin C. Desouza gave a talk on innovation at Boeing’s Airplane Product Development 2007 Conference (Jan 3-4, 2007). The talk focused on the common innovation challenges organizations face and the strategies leading organizations have implemented to overcome these challenges. The talk highlighted two I3M research projects: "Leveraging Ideas into Organizational Innovation" and "Demystifying the Link between Innovation and Business Value". Other speakers at this event included Joe Sutter (Boeing 747 engineer and author of 747: Creating the World's First Jumbo Jet and Other Adventures from a Life in Aviation) and Horikiri Toshio (CEO, Toyota Engineering Corporation).
