Indoor Climbing Center

The IMA Indoor Climbing Center offers current UW students and faculty/staff IMA members the opportunity for year round climbing. The wall features approximately 5822 sq. feet of climbing surface, including a bouldering wall. Top rope & lead climbing routes are up to 42' high.

Eligibility

You must have an IMA Membership to use the Indoor Climbing Center. The UW Indoor Climbing Center is open to currently enrolled UW student and UW faculty/staff IMA members. In addition, their spouses/registered same sex domestic partners are eligible upon purchase of an IMA membership. It is not open to guests or the general public.

Fees*

ICC
Day pass $3.00 + tax
Quarter pass $40.00 + tax
Quarter pass with equipment $65.00 + tax
Belay check (yearly) $5.00

You will need your UW husky ID card (students & faculty/staff) or IMA membership card to purchase passes.

*Note: Equipment rentals and daily/quarter passes are subject to the Washington state sales tax of 9.5%.

Equipment rental rates:

Chalk bag $1.00 + tax
Harness $2.00 + tax
Shoes $3.00 + tax
Combo(harness/shoes) $4.00 + tax
Quarter combo $30.00 + tax
Belay check (yearly) $5.00

How To Get Started

Each climber must sign an "Acknowledgement of Risk" form annually (every 12 months). Climbers under 18 years of age must submit the Parental Consent Form, completed with their parents/guardians signature.

Regardless of experience, all climbers must successfully complete a belay skills check annually (every 12 months) before they are eligible to belay. Orientation classes are available for learning belay skills.
