UW Department of Recreational Sports Programs

conference logo You’re invited to join us for the 2005 NIRSA Region VI Conference to be held in Seattle, the fittest city in the U.S. (“Men’s Fitness” magazine, 1/05). The conference will provide you with a unique northwest experience while meeting your needs as a professional, student, or associate member. Staff members from six schools around Washington are combining efforts to plan and organize the conference.

The regional conference is a great place to meet old friends and new, network with colleagues, and learn the latest trends and developments in the field of recreational sports.
Whether you are new to the field or one of the veterans, this is the place to meet people from all areas of recreation and fitness.

The downtown Seattle location offers easy access from the freeway and the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, and is within walking distance of entertainment and shopping in the heart of the city. The northwest offers numerous pre- and post-trip opportunities, and the host committee is eager to help you enjoy your visit.

Find Your Fit…in the Future of Recreation ties together the fitness aspect of Seattle, what we do at work each day, and the future of our profession. The program committee, with your help, is working on providing a variety of stimulating and educational sessions. In the true Region VI tradition, there will also be plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy the social aspects of getting together.

Seattle is the place to get fit in November 2005!
