Background: My two passions in this world are living as healthy a life as possible and finding the humor in everyday situations. Basically, with me as your trainer, you get the most effective workout you’ve ever experienced and a bit of comedic relief. I’ve been personal training for over 7 years and am fully confident that I can dramatically increase any person’s physical abilities. I enjoy working with clients of all backgrounds. Whether you are out of shape and/or new to exercise or you are an athlete seeking improvements in your strength and conditioning or maybe somewhere in between, I’d be elated to help you. I will develop workouts, based on your unique abilities that will take you to the next level and beyond. And I promise that you will have a good time.
When I’m not personal training, I enjoy challenging my body with its own intense workouts. I live the fitness life; you’ll never find me eating junk or smoking cigarettes! I’m very interested in making and eating delicious, healthy foods, watching live sporting events, studying my craft and anything funny. I will consistently keep you fully updated on whatever is relevant or applicable to increasing your livelihood!Education: B.S. Fitness & Sport Management,M.S. Exercise Science
Certifications: Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
Specialties: Movement, Metabolic Disorders, Sport-Specific Training, Power Lifting & Anaerobic Improvement, Strength & Conditioning, Aesthetics, Balance
Background: I have a background rooted in the sport of Track & Field. Throwing the javelin for nearly a decade has provided me with a great deal of experience and knowledge regarding strength and power training. More importantly, it has ignited a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals, regardless of what those goals may be. That passion has led me into the fields of both coaching and personal training. I have coached the gamut from first time adolescent throwers to national level competitors, and am currently an assistant coach for the University of Washington Track & Field team. As a personal trainer I have helped people of all fitness and experience levels achieve a wide range of goals. Whether you are looking to lose weight, gain strength, or live a healthier life I can provide you with the tools and motivation to get you there. When away from the gym and track, I spend as much time as possible with family and friends. I enjoy the outdoors, attempting to cook, and trying new things. I am a huge sports fan and love watching football.
Education: B.A. Law, Societies & Justice, B.A. Sociology, University of Washington
Certifications: Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), USA Track & Field Coach, Level 1
Specialties: Power Lifting, Sport-Specific Training, Strength Training
Background: I have worked as a personal trainer since February 2000. While pursuing a Master’s degree at Southern Illinois University, I served an internship in the cardiac rehabilitation unit at St. Mary’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Currently, I work at Northwest Hospital’s Cardiac Fitness Center in Seattle as a Fitness Assistant within their Cardiac Rehabilitation team.
I have worked with clients of different ages and levels of fitness, including elderly and high risk populations. The part of my job that I find most rewarding is seeing my clients not only improve their fitness, but also gain self confidence as their bodies change. I believe that all health and fitness is rooted in proper foundation of core strength and muscular flexibility. These two traits allow people to more fully develop and maintain other fitness traits such as cardiorespiratory power and muscular strength.
When I’m not a work, I’m interested in running, music, history, and travel. Health and fitness are good things, but they are a means to living the best life you can for yourself. Fitness should allow you to do more, to try more new things, and to have more experiences that make your life worthwhile.

Background: As a personal trainer, the success of my client is the measure by which I judge my own success. In order for a goal to be realistic, a client's fitness, nutrition, and attitude must support it. Having worked in a variety of personal training and physical therapy settings, I have experience with wide-ranging goals and abilities. Whether you are starting from scratch or are an accomplished athlete, I will work with you to develop a challenging and fun program that promotes not only your goals but also your personal understanding of a healthy lifestyle.
Having participated in volleyball, track, yoga, tennis, soccer, swimming, and horseback riding throughout my life I have gained understanding of a wide variety of sport-specific training principles. I recently moved to Seattle in the hopes of pursuing graduate study of physical therapy at UW. My experiences as an aide and volunteer in a variety of physical therapy settings have strengthened my knowledge of prehab, rehab, and functional training. When I'm not training, volunteering, or taking classes, I enjoy the diverse recreational activities available in Seattle. Running, playing volleyball, hiking, camping, skiing, playing piano, reading, cooking, and spending time with friends all score high on my list of favorite things to do!

Background: Kelvin studied Kinesiology at Southern Arkansas University, where he left early to pursue a career as a professional football player. Kelvin played in both the European Football League and Arena Football League for 5 years, before retiring to the Seattle area. Here he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps, who was a strength and conditioning coach for high school students in Texas. Kelvin works with students at University Prep as their Fitness Center Supervisor and has transitioned into personal training as well with 6 years’ experience as a personal trainer.
Kelvin is a big proponent of the TRX® Suspension Training System, which he uses in conjunction with his intense custom programs. This has allowed him to help clients effectively achieve their fitness goals. He has trained several professional athletes as well as a few models. In his spare time, he enjoys bowling, playing golf, participating in a baseball league and cooking.

Background: Every person is different, and what works for one may not work for another, but what we all have in common is the ability to reach our goals through hard, smart training and determination. For the past two years, I've pushed many of my clients past what they believed were their physical limits. I believe in intense training programs that are rich in variety, and that challenge not only the muscles and the cardiovascular system, but also the link between the mind and the body. Having trained in boxing, I often implement aspects of the sport into my training sessions, including focus mitt and heavy bag work. I have yet to meet a person who doesn't love to get a great workout by throwing some punches and relieving some stress.
In my spare time, I love to stay active through various sports like trail running and boxing. I also enjoy playing the piano and listening to a wide-range of music.

Background: Suzanne originally reigns from Coeur d’Alene, ID but lived in Boston, MA for the last three years. She has both a B.S. and M.S. in Exercise Science with a lengthy personal career in competitive athletics. While at WSU she rowed on the snake and gained extensive knowledge of crew and the cardiovascular training techniques to make a successful Division 1 athlete. Her undergraduate work delved into research programs around campus ranging cardiovascular disease assessment to land-based and aquatic-based training variability. While working on her thesis at Northeastern University, Suzanne specialized in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and management of obesity and cardiovascular disease at Tuft’s Weight and Wellness Bariatric Center. She was a personal trainer at Boston Sports Clubs for three years with a ranging clientele, all of which remain close to her heart for passion and effort they put into changing their lives.
On a personal note, Suzanne loves water (that’s what four years rowing does to you). Kayaking, canoeing and sculling are all favorites. She also loves snowboarding, camping, hiking and swimming. Traveling has been a big joy; after 14 countries she has barely touched the surface of her journeys and because of traveling and exercising. . .she definitely loves cooking and enjoying good food.
