Assessment of
Information and Technology Literacy

AUTUMN 2001
This site has been created to faciltate the work of a statewide working group created to assess the information/technological literacy of baccalaureate degree recipients of the public four-year institutions of Washington State. The taskforce was formed in response to House Bill 2375 and is part of a larger effort directed at the assessment of writing and quantitative reasoning skills in addition to information and technology literacy. It is made up of representatives from each of the six public institutions, in particular faculty, librarians and assessment experts.

During the 2001-2002 academic year we will be collecting senior-level work in the Humanities at each institution to continue our work in developing scoring rubrics to assess information/technological literacy.
