SIT Information Session

CHFI Information Session
CHFI (Child and Family Health International) Information Session, Monday, October 13, 2-3 p.m. in the IP&E office. IE3 Global Internships and CFHI together offer an internship that comprises a 10 week rotation focusing on healthcare practices in Mexico, Ecuador, Bolivia, South Africa and India. CFHI is a global family of committed professionals and students who work at the grassroots level to promote the health of the world community.
SIT Spring Semester 2009 Scholarships Available!
Students attending an SIT (School for International Training) study abroad program are eligible to apply for SIT scholarships. See www.worldlearning.org for program and scholarship opportunities. Program applications are still being accepted for Spring Semester 2009 on a space-available basis.ISIC Cards now available at FIUTS Office
You can now purchase ISIC Cards (International Student Identity Cards) at the FIUTS Office! ISIC cards offer travel discounts to students ranging from airfare and train reductions to museum and hostel discounts. Traveling over the summer? Studying abroad this fall? The ISIC card is a great way to save money and is the only internationally accepted student ID card and FIUTS is the only vender of ISIC Cards on the UW campus! The FIUTS office is located in the HUB 302-B and open Monday through Friday from 10 am - 4pm. To purchase your card, please bring: a passport-size photo, proof of student status (School ID showing validity for 2007-2008), proof of age ( copy of driver's license, passport or birth certificate), and payment of $22. On-line Orientation!
Going abroad? Complete the mandatory study abroad orientation on-line. Following the completion of the orientation, you will have an opportunity to participate in a research project based in the Psychology Department at the UW. The study includes the completion of two brief online surveys that look at students' study abroad experiences. These surveys will take you approximately 15-25 minutes each to complete. You will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Visa gift card for completing the first brief online survey. If you complete this survey prior to your trip abroad, you will have the opportunity to complete an additional survey once you return. You will be entered into an additional drawing for a $100 Visa gift card for completing this follow up survey. More information at the end of the orientation.
