How To Apply
- Reference the list of UW Partner Institutions to determine if your home university has an exchange agreement with the University of Washington. If your school is not listed, please consider a degree-seeking option through Undergraduate Admissions or Graduate Admissions.
- All exchange applications must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0
- English proficiency
TOEFL Requirement:
(if applicable; please check with your home institution's requirement regarding English proficiency.)
Undergraduates (Combined Total):
Paper Based Test (PBT) = 560
Computer Based Test (CBT) = 220
Internet Based Test (IBT) = 63 (Reading/Writing/Listening only)
Graduates:
Internet Based Test (IBT) = 70 - Sufficient funding for intended period of study.
- Contact your home university study abroad or international programs office to determine if you are eligible forthis exchange program, and follow their nomination process. Your home university can also answer questions about how your credit will transfer from UW to your home university.
- Once you have been nominated by your home university, you may submit an application to the UW. Please select Undergraduates or Visiting Graduate Students if the exchange agreement is university-wide or department if the exchange is through a specific academic department.
