The goals of the Cell Networks project at the Allen Institute, of which I am a team member are:
- Our primary goal is to build a comprehensive multimodal tool and dataset to study information networks within a cell. We will do this by describing the trajectory of human stem cells as they differentiate into forebrain neurons with quantitative static and dynamic measurements, at single cell resolution.
- Our secondary goal is to generate predictive models to rationally perturb, program, and engineer specific functional neuronal subtypes in vitro from hESC and iPSC cells.
