Abstract Submission Information

HOW TO PARTICIPATE AS A PRESENTER

ISEI members* can submit one Abstract as the presenting author for an Individual Paper and one Abstract as presenting author for a Poster presentation. In addition to an Individual Paper and/or Poster, an author may also submit an Abstract as part of a Research Symposium. All abstracts must be received by October 1, 2010.

Two versions of each Abstract will be required, a short 25-word format for the YAI/National Institute for People with Disabilities Conference program and a longer 300-word format for the ISEI program. 

Peer reviewed decisions will be made by the ISEI Coordinating Committee no later than November 1, 2010.

Audio-visual equipment will only be available to support PowerPoint presentations.

Abstracts must be in English.

Individual Papers and Posters


Abstracts can be submitted for Individual Papers (15-minute presentations) and Posters. Each presenting author may submit one Abstract for an Individual Paper and one Abstract for a Poster. Please note that if there is insufficient room or not an appropriate topic area for a submitted Individual Paper, that Paper may be accepted as a Poster. Abstracts for Individual Papers and Posters must be received by October 1, 2010.

                 



Research Symposium


In addition to an Individual Paper and/or Poster, Presenting Authors may also submit a proposal as part of a Research Symposium.  A complete Research Symposium should be submitted at one time by a Symposium Organizer.  Each proposal for a Research Symposium must consist of an overall Abstract (50 words maximum) as well as Abstracts (300 words maximum) from each participant (Presenting Authors).  All Abstracts from symposium participants must have been reviewed and approved by the Symposium Organizer. All abstracts must be submitted together by the Symposium Organizer. 


Each symposium will consist of a group of 3 – 4 papers on a common topic or theme in a high priority research area and will be scheduled for 1 to 1-1/2 hours.  Proposals for Research Symposia must be submitted by October 1, 2010.
