The aims of the grant through the Fogarty International Center of the US National Institutes of Health focus on training through research on high priority health issues in collaborating countries.
| NOTE: The University of Washington has collaborated with academic and government institutions in Southeast Asia and Central America for more than 12 years as the International Scholars in Occupational & Environmental Health (ISOEH) program. The program focus has moved toward a greater emphasis on in-region training with the intention to develop a collaborative training center in Southeast Asia. Thus we have changed our name to the Collaborative Center for Healthy Work and Environment (CCHWE) in 2007. |
