Data

Our ITASE data are archived at the Antarctic Glaciological Data Center at the National Snow and Ice Data Center (public access; also includes chemistry data from University of Maine, radar data from CRREL, etc.).

The primary data set is:

  • West Antarctic Ice Core and Climate Model, which contains all the data used in Steig et al, 2013 (Nature Geoscience, vol. 6, pp 372-375).

An older archive is also available:

  • US ITASE Stable Isotope Data. In general, the primary data set should be used.
  • Density Data from the ITASE cores in the above data sets are given here: US ITASE density data

More ITASE data information is available at www.icereader.org (metadata available to all users; data currently available to ITASE investigators only).

    Also available:

  • Temperature reconstruction from Steig et al., 2009, Nature, at the National Science Foundation's U.S. Antarctic Program Data Coordination Center
