Fig. 12. This figure shows the static in vitro diffusion cell system used in the absorption studies. The apparatus used has been described further in Hawkins and Reifenrath (1986) and as shown consists of an evaporation cell and air trap mounted above a penetration cell holding receptor fluid. Skin samples were mounted in contact with the receptor fluid and fixed with a rubber gasket.
