Kathy is the founding director of the K-12 Leadership Preparation Programs. She helped develop the Danforth Program and served as director for Cohorts 1-5 and Cohorts 11-22. Kathy currently teaches the ethnography module and summer institutes and facilitates the reflective seminar. Prior leadership experience includes serving as Assistant Director of the Washington Commission on Student Learning; Assistant Superintendent, elementary principal, and assistant principal and Director of Tri-County Special Services in Maine. Other experiences include teaching Yupik youth in Alaska, disabled adults in Nebraska, and special education students.
