Kathy is the Director of the Danforth Educational Leadership Program at the University of Washington. She teaches the ethnography module and summer institutes and facilitates the reflective seminar. She helped develop the Danforth Program and directed it for the first five years. Prior leadership experience includes serving as Assistant Director of the Washington Commission on Student Learning; Assistant Superintendent, elementary principal, and assistant principal and Director of Tri-County Special Services in Maine. Other experiences include teaching Yupik youth in Alaska, disabled adults in Nebraska, and special education students.
