Leadership Continuum

The Center for Educational Leadership (CEL) at the University of Washington exists to support educational leaders in their work of providing equitable opportunities to learn for ALL students. Located within the UW College of Education, the Center extends the traditional roles played by the College in developing knowledge about pressing educational issues and preparing educators for entry into teaching and leadership roles within the public educational system. The Center focuses its efforts on school and school district leaders to develop the individual and collective leadership capacity - knowledge/awareness, skill/tools, values and will - necessary to mobilize action to close the gap between the values they hold as leaders, and the reality they face. This mission is actualized through a variety of Center programs and activities.

The CEL School Leadership Program III (SLP III) is a 5-credit course. Those credits are transferrable to the Leadership for Learning Ed.D. Program. SLP I & II will be offered each fall as well as SLP III (which is designed for those who have attended SLP I & II).
