Please note that assisted use does not mean you are charged for asking me for help. It is always better to ask a question than to waste time or possibly damage something! -- Greg.
Assisted use rates will be charged if I'm teaching you something new.
The Keck Center is subsidized by the departments of Physiology & Biophysics and Pharmacology. Researchers in those departments are charged only the "Trained Users" rate for training or assisted use.
Confocal Microscopes:
Trained Users: $ 39 / hour
Training/Assisted Use: $ 120 / hour
Confocal training is typically two 2-hour sessions.
Rate for non-UW Users: $56 / hour, Training/Assisted Use: $ 173 / hour
Long-term rate for experiments starting after 6 pm and lasting over 6 hours: $16 / hour
DeltaVision-RT Live Cell Microscope
Trained Users: $ 35 / hour
Training/Assisted Use: $ 157 / hour
Training is typically a 3-hour session.
Rate for non-UW Users: $51 / hour, Training/Assisted Use: $ 227 / hour
Long-term rate for experiments starting after 6 pm and lasting over 6 hours: $28 / hour
DeltaVision
Trained Users: $ 22 / hour
Training/Assisted Use: $ 96 / hour
Training is typically a 3-hour session.
Rate for non-UW Users: $32 / hour, Training/Assisted Use: $ 139 / hour.
Wide-field Microscopes
Trained Users: $ 15 / hour.
Assisted Use/Training: $ 138 / hour.
Training is typically a half-hour session or less.
Rate for non-UW Users: $22 / hour, Training/Assisted Use: $ 199 / hour.
$ 15/ hour - no charge for images collected with Keck Center microscopes.
