Frequently asked questions

What is the purpose of this blog?
The discussion forums hosted within this blog are part of the website of the same title, jointly sponsored by NYU Press and the Simpson Center for the Humanities at the University of Washington, and an extension of the book published by NYU Press in October 2007. This blog aims to foster discussion of the keywords contained in the book and to encourage new research that borrows on its methodology.

Do I have to be a registered user to post a comment?
No, you do not have to be registered to post a comment. However, you are required to enter a working email address.

How do I post a comment?
To post a comment, enter your name and email address and type your contribution to the discussion in the comment box.

How do I create a link within the comment box?
Because the blog site does not feature a link widget for posts, you will need to use HTML coding if you would like to include a link within your posted comment. Type the URL and the text you want to link from within HTML tags: < a href="url.htm" > These tags without spaces < /a > embed links.

What do I do if I’m having trouble posting a comment?
Unfortunately, comments can sometimes be misidentified as spam by our website. If your comment doesn’t appear after you post it, please email us at keywords@u.washington.edu. Our website will get smarter at identifying genuine comments versus spam the more we tweak it, so your feedback helps!

Where can I learn more about the edited collection Keywords for American Cultural Studies?
You’re welcome to visit the website devoted to the edited collection available from NYU Press.

I have a question that isn’t addressed here. Where should I send it?
