Kate E. Allen

Kate was born and raised in Idaho. She attended Boise State University where she worked under Dr. Eric Brown. After graduating with a B.S. in chemistry in 2008, Kate moved to Seattle to start her doctorate work and joined the Goldberg lab in March of 2009. A new member of the Center for Enabling New Technologies for Catalysis, she is currently investigating the C-H bond activation ability of iridium compounds. Outside of the lab Kate enjoys exercising, eating Mexican food, reading, and playing with her golden retrievers.
