International Examiner: Coverage of the KDP ACWA and ILWU Local 37

In 1974, a group of young ILWU Local 37 members who were part of a movement to reform the union of its corrupt hiring and contract practices bought a local newspaper that they named the International Examiner. The International Examiner not only became a way to inform the Seattle community of the struggles of the ILWU Local 37 "reform movement," but to provide news reports that were relevant to the Asian American community of Seattle as a whole.
