The Urban League's Rental Project Progress Report, June 15, 1966

In 1965, Seattle's Urban League began the Rental Project, a volunteer service to help African-American families find rental housing outside of the Central District and to break discrimination in Seattle's rental market. Alongside the Fair Housing Listing Service, which dealt with home buyers, the Rental Project had mixed success.
