Post an Internship or Volunteer Opportunity
The Carlson Center works with community-based organizations to share internship and volunteer opportunities via two email listserves. The “community opportunities” and “public service internship” lists have over 500 subscribers each. Sending information to one or both lists can be an effective recruitment strategy.
Posting an announcement on our mailing lists is simple:
- Compose an email summarizing your organization, give a short description of the intern or volunteer opportunity, and provide contact information. The description should include:
- start/end dates
- time commitment
- expected qualifications
- position tasks
We encourage organizations to limit information in the body of the email and to add an attachment or web address with additional details about the position(s) and instructions on the application process.
-
Once your message is complete, email it to leader@u.washington.edu, with a descriptive subject line.
