Overview

Do you have the desire, heart, and vision to set your own direction and achievement goals? Are you wondering how to develop your personal and professional leadership style? Do you aspire to fulfill your business leadership potential but are uncertain as to just where to start?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then the Leadership Voice  is a learning resource to fulfill your vision.

The Leadership Voice  provides a rare opportunity for undergraduate students enrolled in the School of Business to meet directly with multiple CEOs in small group settings. This once in a lifetime opportunity leverages the power of small group work in partnership with proven and successful business leaders. Select CEOs offer on-the-spot student coaching, Students walk away with a better sense of their own unique leadership styles and voices.

Specifically, by the end of this practicum, students will:

  • Network and connect with CEOs in local, national, and global industries;
  • Meet other students who are interested in leadership;
  • Gain career advice from knowledgeable executives;
  • Receive specific leadership insight from select CEOs.

 

Program Description

The Leadership Voice  provides School of Business undergraduate students with a unique opportunity to learn directly from CEOs in small group settings. Select CEOs discuss how students can become CEOs of their own lives, leverage their individual strengths for success, overcome challenges and obstacles, and achieve their business leadership aspirations. Through the sharing of personal and professional stories, CEOs summarize their own business journeys and then coach students to discover their unique leadership voices and styles. Students meet with several CEOs in each session to gain a variety of viewpoints and mentoring approaches.

Target Audiences

Focus is on School of Business undergraduates.

Structure

  • Each practicum is a single session
  • Four sessions are offered annually, e.g., once in Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Quarters
  • Students may register for one session or enroll in all four sequentially
  • Registration per session is capped to encourage active participation
  • Early registration is encouraged.

 

Prerequisite

Must be a dedicated University of Washington Bothell, School of Business undergraduate student interested in leadership development
