HR/Payroll Modernization (Table 5)

HR/Payroll Modernization is fundamentally driven by business and functional concerns. However, there are many technical implications to this major initiative. It will significantly impact the flow, use, and storage of HR- and payroll-related data around the University. The new enterprise system will provide much richer functionality than we currently experience, and will provide many opportunities for improving UW’s technical processes. Come and learn about various technical aspects of this exciting project.

Meet with Learning Technologies team members, including Instructional Technologists and Technology Consultants, to discover more about UW’s teaching, learning, and research tools and services, including Canvas, Catalyst, lecture capture, custom technology workshops, cutting-edge pilot technologies, and expert consulting.


Negotiating Privacy and Information Security Terms in Contracts/Agreements/MOUs (Table 10)

What information security and privacy risks are you taking by agreeing to vendors’ contract terms? Learn about some common pitfalls with contract negotiations and the right questions to ask to mitigate your risks. 


ServiceNow/ITSM Platform (Table 7)

The UW-IT Service Management Office will be hosting pre-production hands-on ServiceNow demonstrations for IT professionals.  You will experience the latest developed testing instance of ServiceNow with about 70% of the initial UW-IT release configured. See how incident and request management are shaping up as processes in the tool, and envision if your IT folks could use this ITSM tool too.
