Support the Department!

Friends of Linguistics provides the funds to produce the newsletter, invite outside speakers to our colloquia, sponsor conferences and develop graduate workshops, among other things.

$25 sponsors a colloquium, $100 invites a visiting lecturer, $1000 funds the mailing of the newsletter and $100,000 endows a graduate fellowship. Please help us by giving a little or a lot.

Major gifts such as the Nostrand Professorship can at once honor a special purpose and provide graduate fellowships, faculty benefits or targeted aid for a specific recipient such as the Phonetics Lab.

Finally, our Graduate Fellowship Endowment has reached $40,000 and is growing. It is currently supporting an annual award for Graduate Excellence in Linguistic Research, and it will be dedicated to a Fellowship once it reaches the $100,000 level.
