Leadership Voice

Area CEOs vist members of BOLD for a Saturday session at the Eastside Leadership Center.Overview

Do you have the desire, heart, and vision to set your own trajectory and achieve your goals? Are you passionate about developing your unique leadership style? Do you aspire to fulfill your business leadership potential but feel uncertain as to just where to start?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then Leadership Voice is a leadership development program you don’t want to miss!

Leadership Voice provides a rare setting for undergraduate students to meet directly with multiple CEOs in small group settings. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity leverages the power of small group work in collaborative coaching partnerships with proven and successful business leaders. Select CEOs with a passion for helping undergraduate students achieve their fullest leadership potential offer on-the-spot advice and counsel as students pose their own questions about leadership, business, and career decisions. Students walk away with a better sense of their own unique leadership voices and recognize how to maximize their leadership strengths in the business world.

Specifically, by the end of this practicum, students will:

  • Meet in small group settings with multiple CEOs to receive direct counsel and coaching
  • Learn more about leadership from CEOs within regional, national, and global organizations
  • Network with other undergraduates who are interested in leadership development
  • Gain career advice and career insights from knowledgeable and seasoned executives
  • Receive support and connections from select CEOs.

Program Description

Leadership Voice provides School of Business undergraduate students and all UWB undergraduates who enroll with a unique opportunity to learn directly from CEOs with no middle man involved. Select CEOs discuss how students can become CEOs of their own lives, leverage their individual strengths for success, overcome challenges and obstacles, and achieve their business leadership aspirations. Through the sharing of their career stories, CEOs summarize their business journeys, and then guide students to discover their unique leadership voices. Students rotate between several CEOs in each session to gain a variety of viewpoints and mentoring approaches.

Focus is on School of Business undergraduates and the program is open to all UWB undergraduates.
