Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention, Hall Health
Fall Quarter dates: October 16- December 11, 2014
Thursdays, 3-4:30PM

Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention is a University of Washington developed, evidence-based treatment that has been shown to be helpful for individuals who are currently in recovery for addictive behaviors.

This 8 week class is designed to help people:

  • Develop awareness of triggers and craving and learn new ways to respond rather than react to them.
  • Learn how to tolerate discomfort and practice skills for relating to challenging emotional and physical experiences.
  • Engage a mindful approach toward yourself and your experiences and learn tools that support long-term recovery.

Off-campus – Self-help groups

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA):

Note:  Although you can search for meetings (and meeting type) anywhere in Seattle, there are three general meetings within blocks of campus:

  • Friday, 6:00 p.m., University Christian Church, 4731 15th Ave NE, Rm 139, 98105
  • Saturday, 6:00 p.m., Covenant House at 4525 19th NE
  • Sunday, 7:00 p.m. University Christian Church at 4731 15th Ave NE, 98105

Narcotics Anonymous (NA):
As with AA, you can search for meetings (and meeting type) anywhere in Seattle.
