Green Dot Trainings

STUDENTS

Bystander Intervention Training / 3 hour training / Offered once per quarter

This training enhances students’ skills in being an active bystander and campus leader in preventing interpersonal violence on campus. We will examine dynamics of violence, barriers to intervening, and explore creative solutions for interrupting violence. Participants will gain confidence in their skills and enhance their understanding of solutions to intervene in situations in ways that feel safe and comfortable. Program led by Certified Green Dot Trainers. 

Trainings are complete for the year, our next training is tentatively scheduled for - November 7th, 2018 from 5:30-8:30pm - as we work on developing new curriculum. Location TBD. Please feel free to sign up for email alerts and we will notify you of future trainings.

Faculty/Staff Bystander Intervention Training: Supporting and Referring UW students / 2 hrs / Offered each quarter

This training enhances skills in being an active bystander and campus leader in preventing interpersonal violence at UW.  This discussion focuses on the dynamics of interpersonal violence, barriers to intervening, creative solutions and the importance of staff and faculty involvement in creating a safer campus culture. We will discuss Title IX, the UW referral procedures and how to support students.
