Here are some of the most read newspapers in France:

Le Monde: Considered THE French newspaper of record, it is also one of the only French newspapers you can easily find in non-Francophone countries.

L'Equipe: Nationwide daily newspaper devoted to sports.

Le Figaro: One of the leading French newspapers, it began publication in 1826.

Le Parisien: Parisians' favorite newspaper, it covers local as well as national and international news.

20 minutes: Free Daily newspaper launched in 2002. More of a commuter paper, 20 minutes refers to the average time a European commuter spends in public transportation each business day.

Museum/art sites that are worth the trip

Musée du Louvre: With more than 8 million visitors in 2007, the Louvre is by far the most visited museum in the world.

Musée d'Orsay: Located right across from the Louvre, the musée d'Orsay is famous for its collection of impressionist masterpieces.

Musée Pompidou: French national modern art museum. It houses masterpices by Picasso, Matisse, Dali and many others. It is also famous for its unique building structure.

Musée du Quai Branly: Open in 2006, situated close to the Eiffel Tower, this musem features indigenous art from Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.
