Clinical Chemistry Faculty Position
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital seeks a full-time clinical chemistry faculty member. The individual will share the technical, clinical, and administrative responsibilities of a high-volume automated clinical chemistry laboratory, and will also participate in teaching medical students and pathology and laboratory medicine residents. The successful candidate will have board certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry or in Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. The applicant must have demonstrated interest and ability in research and scholarly activity. Opportunities for collaborative research at the University of Rochester are excellent. The academic rank of this position is open and will be made at a level commensurate with experience and achievements.
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, with a faculty of 50, is responsible for the operation of the Strong Health Clinical Laboratories, offering a full range of diagnostic services in anatomic and clinical pathology. Strong Memorial Hospital is a 750-bed tertiary care facility which is part of the University of Rochester Medical Center complex located in Rochester NY. The University of Rochester, founded in 1850, is one of the nation's leading private universities.
