Physician-Scientist

The Department of Laboratory Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine is actively seeking physician-scientist candidates for a new Assistant or Associate Professor position. The successful candidate would be expected to spend approximately 75% time in an independent program of basic and/or translational bench research with accompanying 25% clinical and teaching responsibilities. The latter is expected to be in the hematology or molecular diagnostics section. The candidate should be a Board certified or eligible MD or MD/PhD. The specific area of investigation is open, and could include any area that would interact well with institution-wide programs. Particular strengths within the Department itself include immunology, stem cell biology, virology, genetics, structural biology, and bioengineering.
