Director of the Chemistry Laboratories
The University of Chicago, Department of Pathology is seeking an outstanding individual with advanced training and experience in Clinical Chemistry to serve as Director of the Chemistry Laboratories at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Candidates must be diplomates of the American Board of Pathology or the American Board of Clinical Chemistry and be qualified to serve as a clinical laboratory consultant under CLIA. This is an extremely well-developed, comprehensive laboratory that employs state-of-the-art automation. The candidate should be committed to providing a high level of consultative diagnostic services. We seek a dynamic individual with a capacity for leadership, who will draw upon emerging technologies to introduce increasingly powerful laboratory approaches for the diagnosis and management of human disease.

The Argonne National Laboratories, managed by the University of Chicago, provide additional, unique opportunites. The candidate should have experience and demonstrated interest in basic or translational research. This is a senior-level position, with academic rank commensurate with experience.
