The laboratory is equipped with three luminescence readers: (1) Daybreak 1100 used primarily for thermoluminescence (TL) measurements, (2) Risø TL-DA-15 used primarily for optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) of quartz and polymineral fine grains, and (3) Risø TL/OSL DA-20 used primarily for pulsed OSL and infrared stimulated luminescence (IRSL) of feldspars.  Both Risø readers have a single-grain attachment, one with a 540nm laser capable of stimulating luminescence from quartz and the other with both a 540nm laser and an 830nm IR laser for stimulating luminescence from feldspars.  The laboratory has seven thick-source alpha counters (Daybreak and Littlemore) and a Risø GM  beta counter for measuring radioactivity, and a flame photometer for K contents.  Other resources include three calibrated Sr-90 beta sources, one Am-241 alpha source and an Applied Physics solar simulator.
