Procedure for Using Telephone InterpretersIn general, Madison Clinic should be provided an interpreter from HMC Interpretive Services. However, occasionally an interpreter is not available. Also, if one needs to call a patient at home one can call the telephone interpreters and then conference call with the patient. Step 1Obtain the dual headset from the triage station to facilitate simultaneous conversation between provider, patient, and interpreter.
