Centrifugal casting Lesson/Tutorial  A type of casting in which molten metal is poured into a rotating sand, metal, or graphite mold, and held against the mold wall by centrifugal force while the metal solidifies.  Centrifugal force is that same force that holds you against the wall in the rotating carnival ride.
