Whisker

Back to Case study
Whisker Lesson/Tutorial  A type of fiber.  Whiskers are extremely small and have an extremely large length-to-diameter ratio.  Their advantage is that since they are so small, they have an almost perfect structure with no flaws.  They are one of the strongest known materials, but are not used a lot, due to their high cost.
