Seeking tutors for first-year core: Accounting, Econ, Statistics, and Corporate Finance! If you’re in the Class of 2019 or 2018, reach out to Kara to be added to a list of available tutors. Tutors can work on a volunteer basis or paid. Most charge $20 - $25/hour, though rates should be agreed upon prior to the tutoring session(s).

Class of 2018:

□If you missed Coffee Break this week, pick up your coffee tumbler in DEM 334 (Mon–Fri 8am–6pm) or make arrangements with Kara.

□ This is required to graduate: Honor Code Renewal Form. Electronic signature accepted. Access it on Canvas (sign and email to mbacore@uw.edu) or drop a copy off to DEM 334 (a printed copy is also in your Student Folder in the MBA Lounge).

Class of 2019:
□Mandatory advising to help you plan for electives, bidding, and your third year in the program kicks-off next week! You are required to meet with me over the phone or in-person by January 12th, 2018. If we already had a similar conversation, I have recorded our appointment, and you have met this requirement. Schedule an appointment today!

 

Class of 2020:

□Review the dedicated email sent to your team later this week with details about the Peer Mentor Program and how best to utilize your Mentor.

Autumn 2017 Registration Deadlines:

  • Late drop period (with use of annual drop, fee, and tuition forfeiture): 10/11 – 11/14

Class of 2018: Winter Quarter 2018 Pre-Registration Elective Bidding opens Tuesday, October 24 at 8am and closes on Sunday, October 29 at 10pm. Registration for non-bidding classes opens on Monday, November 6 at 8am by emailing mbaregis@uw.edu

Class of 2019 & 2020: You are eligible to request elective classes for winter quarter 2018 on November 13 at 8am by emailing mbaregis@uw.edu. A list of what classes are available will be shared prior. The majority of students in your class will NOT register for electives.

Autumn quarter ends on December 15, and Winter quarter starts on January 3.

Class of 2018:

Class of 2019:

  • Elective Bidding Information Sessions offered in-person and online. You are required to attend one session prior to bidding on spring quarter electives. Save the date. No RSVP required, but attendance will be tracked:
    • Saturday, January 13, 12-1pm
    • Wednesday, January 17, 5-6pm
    • Sunday, January 21, 12-1pm
    • Monday, January 22, 5-6pm
  • Winter quarter core class make-up sessions are on January 16 & February 20, 2018. Grab-N-Go Dinner order form to open in December.
  • Spring 2018 quarter elective bidding opens for your class on January 30, 2018 at 8am and closes on February 4, 2018 at 10pm.  

Class of 2020:

  • Finance Jump Start is on December 16 & 17, 2017 from 8:30am – 4pm each day. Diagnostic Test will be released in early November. Coffee and lunch will be served.
  • Winter quarter core class make-up sessions are on January 16 & February 20, 2018. Grab-N-Go Dinner order form to open in December.
  • The last session of MGMT 510 is on March 25, 2018.

  • In the Know: A sync for First-year MBA’s (Class of 2020), Monday, October 23, 5 – 5:50pm, DEM 333. Drop-in session. No RSVP.
  • Field Study Project Introduction with the Veterans Administration (Class of 2018 & 2019), Tuesday, October 24, 5 – 5:50pm, PACCAR 456. No RSVP needed. And no obligation to apply. This is an info session event.

Foster Diversity and Inclusion Tea Talks aim to provide space and opportunity to talk with peers about challenges we face. We will be watching Accenture's "Inclusion Starts With I" and engaging in thought-provoking and mindful dialogue. Tea will be provided. Tuesday, October 24, from 5-5:50pm.
