ELECTIVES & REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Autumn 2018 Bidding Results

Your Autumn quarter bidding results are now available for you to access. Please go to the Pre-registration Bidding Portal and follow the same login procedure that you utilized for bidding. Your next step is to register for classes via MyUW.  Plan to complete your registration no later than May 27 in order to guarantee you do not lose the classes you were awarded via bidding.

Requesting Additional Classes for Autumn

If you want to add any classes to your schedule, please send your email requests to mbaregis@uw.edu.

Available spaces will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that we will be taking these requests from now through September 14. When a space opens up in a class that has a wait list, we will email the person at the top of the list and give them a deadline to respond to confirm. If we don’t hear back, we will cross the name off the wait list and move to the next person. So…if you are hoping to get into a class, please watch your email closely and be quick to respond.

CLASS OF 2018: GRADUATION INFORMATION

Updates

Announcing your 2018 Graduation Keynote Speaker:

Dorrit Bern

Dorrit Bern is the former CEO and president of Charming Shoppes, long a leading national retailer of women’s clothing.  She is a UW Foster alum who started her business career as a buyer for The Bon Marche, Seattle’s oldest and largest department store.  Impressed by her success at Bon Marche, Sears, Roebuck hired Ms. Bern as divisional vice-president to revamp its women’s fashion division.  She launched a successful rebrand for the division called the “Softer Side of Sears” which met with great success during her tenure.  Impressed by this national success, Charming Shoppes, still in its early years, hired Ms. Bern as CEO.  As CEO she lead the company to enormous growth by focusing on and revolutionizing the company’s approach aimed at delivering fashionable clothing and active wear to previously underserved segments of the women’s market.  Not only is Dorrit Bern one of the few female CEOs who have run Fortune 1000 companies, but she has also been honored for her deep involvement in philanthropic work and she travels to business schools across the U.S. encouraging women to pursue leadership roles in business. Dorrit is a long time member of the Foster Dean’s Advisory Board and she was very popular in her year serving as Fritzy Chair when she had exceptionally high engagement with Foster MBA students.
