Public comment period on the Bree Recommendations for Alzheimer’s Disease in WA State

October 03, 2017

The WA State Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias Report and Recommendations has been approved for dissemination for a four week public comment period, ending October 27th at 5:00pm.

Public feedback is requested on the Bree Collaborative’s draft Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias Report and Recommendations. The workgroup, including team members from the UW Memory and Brain Wellness Center/ADRC, will review comments before submitting a final draft for review and adoption by the Bree Collaborative. Please read the draft Report and Recommendations before completing the survey here: www.surveymonkey.com/r/AlzDementia. We estimate that this survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete.

Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias are a growing concern in Washington State and around the country. The complex symptoms including in memory, cognition, and social functioning are difficult for patients themselves, their family members and friends, and the health care system at large. In many cases no clear guidelines exist to support the patient through diagnosis and increase in symptoms.

Feedback must be received by 5pm Friday, October 27th.
