Byers, Peter H. The course covers basic elements of medical genetics, genetic mechanisms of disease and organ system-based examples. The aim is to provide a graduate-level introduction to human genetic disease mechanisms. The presentation format is didactic and integrated in content with Genome Sciences 531, a reading and discussion course on the molecular mechanisms of human genetic disease.
