Associate Program Officer in HIV Diagnostics
Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle, WA
Dr. Jennifer Osborn is an Associate Program Officer in HIV Diagnostics at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked at PATH as a Program Associate developing point-of-care diagnostics for low-resource settings. Drawing from these experiences, Dr. Osborn will discuss the differences of working at a grant-funded NGO compared to a funding organization and will highlight the different roles that a PhD can play in both of these types of organizations. She will also talk about her grad school experience and choices she made that helped prepare her for the non-profit positions that she has held.
