Research Summary

Replication and transcription share a DNA template, which means that the two machineries can encounter one another. These encounters are known as conflicts, and if unresolved, can have detrimental effects including replisome stalling, genomic instability, and mutagenesis. I am interested in how RNases H may be important for conflict resolution.
