My lab is interested in the development and regeneration of the mammalian auditory system. We take a particular interest in the roles of FGF and Notch in these processes. Our experiments involve explant cultures where we manipulate these factors and llok at effects on the development of hair cells and support cells. We also take advantage of a variety of transgenic and knockout animal models.
