Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) remains one of the deadliest cancers primarily due to ineffective therapies. To identify new potential therapeutic targets for GBM, we employ functional genetic RNAi screens to discover genes differentially required in GBM stem cells and transformed cells, but are not required for non-transformed cells’ growth and survival.
