Sign up to host as many dinners as you like by completing and mailing the sign-up form.

UW Medicine Alumni Relations coordinates the Student/Alumni Informational Dinners. The SAID program gives medical students a chance to meet with UW School of Medicine alumni. Your advice and encouragement can help students decide on a specialty and make other important career decisions.

We invite you to share your insight and experience by hosting a SAID dinner on Saturday, November 1, or Sunday, November 2, 2008. Of course, you are welcome to host dinners on both nights. Or, if you and the student(s) are agreeable, you can choose another date altogether.

The dinner can take any form that’s enjoyable and convenient for you, whether you invite the students to dinner at your house … take them to a restaurant of your choice … or just order pizza. Depending on student participation, we might ask you to host one student or a small group of students.

Please respond using the sign-up form and indicate your availability to host a dinner on these dates. Save the date(s) you indicate and assume you will host a dinner. In the meantime, students will sign up for the dinners on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the specialties represented by your responses.

We will send you a list of the students with their telephone numbers and email addresses. Please call or email the students with all the details they’ll need — time, location, directions.
