Life After Residency

Every fall the residents who are finishing their training are invited to attend Life After Residency, sponsored by the UW Medicine Alumni Association, the Office of Graduate Medical Education and the Washington State Medical Association.

A CPA and an attorney who specialize in the medical field present valuable legal and business information regarding practices in this informative seminar.

Learn:

What to look for in employment contracts, compensation arrangements, benefits packages, non-compete clauses and the potential pitfalls you should avoid as you negotiate these agreements.
Various options among practice settings and the relative advantages of each.
The top ten things you should know about the business side of practice.
