Class history project

In order to preserve the rich history of our alumni, the UW Medicine Alumni Association and the School of Medicine launched the Alumni History Project in 1999. The project is a compilation of biographical and anecdotal information about medical alumni who graduated between 1950 and 1965.

The information will be included in our archives, plus excerpts will be printed in the 50-year reunion program every year. Each year the 50th reunion class is honored at our All-School Celebration Banquet, and a program is printed that includes a profile on each of our alumni. However, if you don’t send us your information, we won’t be able to include you. Your classmates and the rest of the alumni truly enjoy reading about you so please send it in.

Regarding use and disposition of biographical information

Photos and portions of your information may be used in a variety of mediums, including the UW Medicine Alumni Magazine, hallway or traveling displays, in videotape or Website form, and the 50 year booklet.

This information will become the property of the UW Medicine Alumni Association for historical purposes and will not be used for commercial enterprises or sold, leased, or rented to non-UW entities. If published in a book or video that is sold by the UW Medicine Alumni Association, any proceeds will go to the Alumni Association unless otherwise decided by the History Project committee. If you have additional information you can submit, please send a short autobiographical essay (up to 10 pages) with memories, anecdotes and reflections from your years as a student at the University of Washington. Include an overview of your career—things you feel good about and enjoy remembering. Photos

If you have current photos of yourself, your family or your practice, or past photos of your medical school days, we'd love to make a copy for the history project. Please identify the people, places, and dates for each in the body of the email.
