  • Boise VA Medical Center: Report to Dr. James Branahl in the Medical Service Office, Room 138 at 8:00 a.m. on day one of your rotation.

HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER

  • Harborview Medical Center Ward Rotation: Report to Dr. Meridale Vaught, Medicine Chief Resident, 10 East Hospital Room 4 (10 EH-04) at 7:30 a.m. on day one of your rotation.

MADIGAN ARMY MEDICAL CENTER

  • On your first day, exit Interstate 5 at Exit 120 and go to the Fort Lewis Main Gate Visitor's Center to obtain a temporary pass.  Try to report by 6:45 AM as it can take up to an hour to get your temporary pass.  Students will be required to show their driver’s license, proof of insurance and car registration.  This is accomplished at the building next to the Main Gate.  Please alert the person at the desk that you have been sponsored on-line by the GME office. This will allow you to obtain a pass for the duration of yourr rotation. Please keep these phone numbers in hand in case you need to be sponsored at the gate: 968-1899, 968-0354 and 968-1499. The gate hours are 6:00 - 10:00 pm.   Once the permit has been obtained, return to I-5 going north to Exit 122, which will take you to Madigan Hospital.  7:30 AM, report to the Kathy Rogers, 8th floor of the Nursing Tower in room 865 and Kathy will provide you with additional information and your long-term vehicle pass.  Please have your driver’s license, proof of insurance, and car registration with you.  Kathy's phone number is 253-968-1511 in case you have questions. 
  • Housing: Fort Lewis Lodging: please report to Building 2111 before 6:00 pm, anyone at the front desk can help you with your housing assignment.  Housing office phone number is: 253-967-1963.

POLYCLINIC, SEATTLE, WA

  • Report to Dr. Elton Lee at station 2J at the Polyclinic, 1145 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122 at 8:30 a.m. sharp. You may want to set out a few minutes early in case you get lost in the building. Dr. Lee's office phone is 206-860-4556. Please call one week prior to touch base and ask for directions.

SPOKANE, WASHINGTON

  • Report to the Internal Medicine Office at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Main East at 8:30 a.m. on day one of your rotation.  Further instructions will be e-mailed to you.

UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON MEDICAL CENTER

  • University of Washington Medical Center Ward Rotation: Report to Dr. Karlee Ausk, Chief Resident in Medicine, BB 514 Medicine Library at 7:30 a.m. on day one of your rotation.
  • University of Washington Clinic Rotation:  Report to Dr. Anne Eacker, Outpatient Coordinator, W320, General Internal Medicine Clinic, UWMC at Roosevelt, 8:00 a.m. on day one of your rotation.
  • University of Washington Consult Rotation: Please meet Dr. Nason Hamlin in the Medicine Consult Clinic, 3rd (Main floor) of the Surgery Pavilion. Go to the far end of the reception area and ask for Dr. Hamlin. Dr. Hamlin's pager number is - 559-8479.

UWPN - SHORELINE CLINIC

  • UWPN Clinic: Report to Dr. Sarah Simpson (206) 542-5656, Medical Director at 8:00 a.m. on day one of your rotation. From I-5, take the Edmonds Way exit (to Kingston Ferry). Go west on Southwest 244th St. (follow signs to Highway 99). Turn into Aurora Village at the stoplight by Petco on N. 205 St. The clinic is between Petco and Office Max at the northeast corner of the village.

VA PUGET SOUND HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

  • VA Puget Sound Health Care System Ward & Clinic Rotation: Report to the 2nd floor, Room 2B-130 (2 West, the new hospital) at 8:00 a.m. on day one of your rotation.

    The VA has scheduled computer training for you day one. This is mandatory.  The VA requires review of the following website prior to starting.  www.ees-learning.net

    Please use the slides below to assist you in the web-training (please be aware of slide #11 – this piece can be confusing).  Please print and bring the certificate of completion with you on your first day at the VA.

VIRGINIA MASON MEDICAL CENTER

  • Please print off the forms below, complete paperwork and mail to Susie Rheinberger, at least Fifteen days prior to your start. VMMC has no parking.  There are numerous outdoor lots within walking distance to VMMC.  They range from $10.00 or more per day.  Previous students state that they park at an outdoor lot adjacent to Swedish for $5.00 a day.  VMMC encourages all of us to use metro or carpool.  Our lots are $18.00/day and are for patients only.
