The third edition of the Internal Medicine Clerkship Guide is on sale the University of Washington Bookstore, South Campus Center. The health sciences bookstore can make arrangements to send your book to the main branch for pick-up in the evening or on weekends.

November 11, 2009 - Veteran's Day. VA Clincs may be closed for Veteran's Day. Please check with your site director regarding your schedule. Veteran's day is a regular work day for all other site.

November 26, 2009 - Thanksgiving Day. All students have this day off.

November 27, 2009 - Friday after Thanksgiving Day. Clinics may be closed on this Friday. Clinic students please check with your site. Inpatient students should treat this day like a weekend day. If you are post-call or on-call you should be at the hospital, otherwise you have the day off.


To request a weekend off call and where to report:

HMC - You will receive specific instructions from HMC Coordinator. Information is also on the "where to report" link. To request a particular weekend off call, email Kat Jong, kjong@u.washington.edu to request a call schedule. Please let Kat know which team you would like to be assigned to. Requests must be made three weeks prior to the start date.

Where to Report on Day One

Seattle/WWAMI Students - Students who spend the second six weeks of their clerkship at a WWAMI site (Anchorage, Dillon, Douglas, Jackson, Missoula, Soldotna, Wenatchee) are dismissed from their Seattle site at 11:30 AM on the Thursday prior to travel. Autumn quarter WWAMI start date is November 9, 2009.
